Why Should I Be Certified?

School Business Administrator professionals are challenged with the difficult task of managing their district’s business and financial operations efficiently and ensuring compliance with all policies, laws and regulations. Completion of the NHASBO Business Administrator Certificate program ensures that members have obtained the necessary professional development to successfully implement the competencies and skills required for continued professional success in the field of school business and finance operations.

The Business Administrator Certificate Program ensures that you have the practical, day-to-day knowledge that you need to be successful in a school business administrator position. You will learn proven techniques from experienced practitioners.

The credential behind your name shows that you have the expertise and experience necessary to manage the school district’s business and financial operations.

Certification can increase credibility in the education community, ensure that you have the most current information and tools to do your job and offer a competitive edge in the job market. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, it’s harder than ever to impress your prospective employers. Certification can help you differentiate yourself.

Successful completion of this program does not solely qualify or guarantee a participant certification by the New Hampshire Department of Education or any other Business Administrator certifying organization. The New Hampshire Department of Education’s Bureau of Credentialing has reviewed the program and will accept completion of NHASBO’s program of study as meeting the practical educational training required to meet the competency component of NHDOE’s Alt IV certification for Business Administrator certification under an Individualized Professional Development Plan (IPDP) as specified in Ed 505.04. If an applicant for Alt IV certification does not qualify for a NHDOE Statement of Eligibility based on their educational and work experience, NHDOE will accept the completion of NHASBO’s Business Administrator Certificate Program’s Educational Organization, Financial Resource Management and Human Resource Management program content areas as qualification for NHDOE to issue a Statement of Eligibility.
